Terms & Conditions

Last updated: October 2026. These Terms govern your use of gvawatchadvisors.com and the sourcing, advisory, acquisition, due diligence, logistics, and related services provided by GVA Watch Advisors LLC.

By using our website, submitting a sourcing request, engaging GVA, or approving a transaction, you agree to these Terms.

01Our Services

GVA Watch Advisors provides independent watch sourcing and advisory services, primarily for professional watch dealers and other trade clients.

Depending on the engagement, our services may include:

  • Watch sourcing
  • Market research and intelligence
  • Seller and transaction due diligence
  • Review of available condition information
  • Acquisition coordination
  • Pricing and market analysis
  • Shipping and logistics coordination
  • Other watch-related advisory services

The scope of services may vary by transaction and will be communicated to the client as appropriate.

02Sourcing Requests

Clients may provide GVA with watch references, quantities, condition preferences, target prices, timing requirements, or other acquisition criteria.

A sourcing request does not obligate GVA to locate a watch and does not obligate the client to purchase a watch unless otherwise agreed.

Availability, pricing, condition, and seller willingness may change at any time.

GVA does not guarantee that a particular watch can be sourced or that it can be acquired at a client's requested target price.

03Third-Party Sellers and Sources

GVA sources watches through third-party dealers, auctions, industry participants, marketplaces, and other sources.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, GVA does not control these third parties and cannot guarantee their continued availability, performance, representations, or conduct.

Information concerning a watch may originate from the seller, auction house, consignor, marketplace, or another third party. GVA may rely on such information when reasonably appropriate.

04Watch Information and Due Diligence

GVA seeks to provide clients with relevant information reasonably available before a purchase decision is made.

Depending on the watch and source, this may include photographs, videos, reference and serial information, condition reports, documentation, service history, seller representations, transaction history, and other available information.

The nature and extent of due diligence will vary depending on the transaction.

Unless specifically agreed otherwise, GVA does not represent that every watch has been physically inspected, opened, tested, or authenticated by GVA.

Additional inspection, authentication, or third-party expert review may be arranged where available and appropriate, potentially at additional cost.

05Authenticity, Condition, and Originality

Vintage and pre-owned watches may contain replacement, service, restored, refinished, polished, repaired, or otherwise modified components.

Condition assessments are inherently subjective. Differences of opinion may exist regarding polishing, originality, restoration, dial condition, movement condition, component originality, or other characteristics.

GVA will make reasonable efforts to communicate material information available to us but does not provide an absolute guarantee regarding authenticity, originality, condition, mechanical performance, water resistance, service history, or future performance unless expressly agreed in writing.

Clients are responsible for reviewing the information provided and determining whether a watch meets their requirements before approving a purchase.

06Pricing and Market Value

Watch prices and market values may fluctuate rapidly.

Any pricing guidance, valuation, comparable sale, market analysis, or opinion provided by GVA represents our assessment based on information available at that time and does not constitute a guarantee of future value, resale price, profitability, or liquidity.

GVA does not guarantee that a client will be able to resell a watch at any particular price or within any particular period.

Clients are responsible for making their own commercial purchasing and resale decisions.

07Fees

GVA's fees are determined based on the nature and scope of the engagement and may vary by client, transaction, or service.

The applicable fee structure will be communicated and agreed with the client before the relevant service or transaction proceeds.

Additional costs may include shipping, insurance, bank charges, currency conversion costs, payment processing fees, third-party inspection or authentication fees, auction fees, storage, customs-related expenses, or other transaction costs.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, GVA's fees are separate from applicable third-party expenses, duties, taxes, and other transaction costs.

08Purchase Approval

The client retains final authority over whether to purchase a watch.

When GVA presents an opportunity, the client is responsible for reviewing the available information, including price, condition, documentation, and associated costs.

Once a client provides clear approval to proceed with an acquisition, GVA may take steps or incur obligations with third parties in reliance on that approval.

Approval may therefore become binding once GVA or a third party has committed funds, placed a successful bid, completed a purchase, or otherwise incurred a non-cancellable obligation on the client's behalf or in connection with the transaction.

09Payments

Payment instructions and timing will be communicated for each transaction.

Clients are responsible for sending funds in accordance with the instructions provided and for verifying payment details before transferring funds.

GVA will never be responsible for funds sent to an incorrect account as a result of instructions that did not originate from GVA.

Because payment fraud and impersonation can occur, clients should independently confirm any unexpected change in banking instructions directly with GVA before transferring funds.

GVA may require cleared funds before completing an acquisition, releasing a watch, or arranging shipment.

10Currency and Foreign Exchange

International transactions may involve Japanese yen, U.S. dollars, euros, Swiss francs, or other currencies.

Exchange rates may fluctuate between quotation, payment, acquisition, and settlement.

Unless otherwise agreed, the client is responsible for foreign exchange differences, conversion charges, bank fees, and related costs associated with the transaction.

11Shipping and Delivery

GVA may coordinate domestic or international shipping through third-party logistics providers.

Shipping times are estimates and are not guaranteed.

Once a watch has been transferred to a third-party carrier, delays, customs inspections, regulatory holds, or other events may occur outside GVA's control.

Where applicable, GVA will arrange or facilitate insurance according to the agreed shipping method. Any claim relating to loss or damage during shipment may be subject to the terms, limitations, exclusions, and claims procedures of the relevant carrier or insurer.

Clients must promptly inspect delivered packages and notify GVA of any apparent loss or damage.

12Customs, Duties, and Taxes

International clients are responsible for understanding and complying with the import laws and requirements of their destination country.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, the client is responsible for all applicable customs duties, import taxes, VAT, sales taxes, brokerage fees, declarations, permits, and other governmental charges associated with importing a watch.

GVA does not provide tax, customs, or legal advice.

GVA will not knowingly falsify customs values, invoices, descriptions, country of origin, or other documentation.

13Returns and Cancellations

Because GVA primarily sources watches from third-party sellers and trade channels, transactions may be final.

Return and cancellation rights depend on the terms of the underlying seller, auction house, or transaction.

Unless GVA expressly agrees otherwise in writing, GVA does not independently provide a return right for a watch acquired from a third party on a client's instruction.

Clients should therefore review all available information carefully before approving a purchase.

If a seller accepts a return or cancellation, any associated shipping costs, transaction fees, exchange-rate differences, restocking charges, or other expenses may remain the client's responsibility.

14Watches Purchased at Auction

Where GVA assists with auction purchases, all purchases remain subject to the applicable auction house's terms and conditions.

Auction bids may be binding and purchases may be final.

Buyer premiums, taxes, shipping charges, payment fees, storage charges, and other auction-related costs may apply in addition to GVA's fees.

GVA is not responsible for errors, omissions, condition reports, catalog descriptions, bidding-system failures, withdrawn lots, or other actions of an auction house.

15No Investment Advice

Watches may increase or decrease in value.

Information provided by GVA regarding pricing, scarcity, historical performance, market demand, or potential resale value is provided for informational and commercial purposes only.

Nothing provided by GVA constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, and no representation is made that any watch is or will be a profitable investment.

16Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate information reasonably required to complete transactions
  • Review watch information before approving purchases
  • Make payments when due
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • Provide accurate shipping and customs information
  • Conduct their own commercial assessment of purchases
  • Notify GVA promptly of any material issue relating to a transaction

Professional clients are expected to possess appropriate knowledge of the secondary watch market and to make independent purchasing decisions.

17Compliance and Right to Decline Transactions

GVA reserves the right to decline, suspend, or terminate a transaction or client relationship where we reasonably believe there may be fraud, sanctions exposure, money laundering, stolen property, counterfeit goods, unlawful activity, regulatory risk, reputational risk, or other legitimate compliance concerns.

GVA may request identification, company information, beneficial ownership information, proof of funds, or other documentation where reasonably required for compliance or transaction purposes.

18Intellectual Property

The content of the GVA Watch Advisors website, including text, branding, graphics, photographs, research, reports, and other original materials, is owned by or licensed to GVA unless otherwise indicated.

Such materials may not be reproduced, distributed, republished, or commercially exploited without prior written permission.

Third-party trademarks, brand names, and logos remain the property of their respective owners.

19Website Information

We make reasonable efforts to keep information on our website accurate and current. However, website content is provided for general informational purposes and may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information.

Nothing published on the website constitutes a binding offer to buy, sell, source, or provide services on particular terms.

20Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GVA will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of anticipated resale value, or market depreciation arising from the use of our services or a transaction.

GVA will not be responsible for losses resulting from matters outside our reasonable control, including actions or omissions of sellers, auction houses, carriers, insurers, customs authorities, financial institutions, payment providers, or other third parties.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GVA's aggregate liability arising from a particular transaction or service will not exceed the fees actually paid to GVA for that transaction or service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

21Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless GVA Watch Advisors LLC and its officers, employees, contractors, and representatives from claims, liabilities, losses, or expenses arising from the client's violation of these Terms, violation of applicable law, inaccurate information supplied by the client, or misuse of GVA's services.

22Force Majeure

GVA will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, civil unrest, governmental action, customs delays, transportation disruptions, cyber incidents, telecommunications failures, banking interruptions, or other similar events.

23Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

24Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically.

The version in effect at the time a client approves a transaction will generally apply to that transaction unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Updated Terms will be posted on our website with a revised “Last Updated” date.

25Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms and any dispute arising from them or from GVA's services will be governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable law or agreed in writing.

The parties will first attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute through direct discussion.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be submitted to the state or federal courts having jurisdiction in Wyoming, unless the parties agree to another dispute-resolution procedure in writing.

26Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any applicable engagement letter, invoice, transaction confirmation, fee agreement, or other written agreement between GVA and the client, constitute the agreement governing the relevant services.

If there is a conflict between these Terms and a separately executed written agreement, the separately executed agreement will control to the extent of that conflict.
